Hannah Pinafore Dress: navy cotton drill with autumn flower embroidery

A pinafore dress for autumn walks, school-run days and family get-togethers. A navy A-line dress with a row of machine-embroidered flowers along the hem, in burnt orange, gold, cream and soft greens that echo the autumn leaves. I took the embroidery colours from the contrast fabric, an orange print with small white flowers, which is tucked inside the straps as a little surprise for the wearer. The straps fasten over the shoulder with a single flower button on each side. Designed, cut and sewn by me in Nottingham.

Only 4 left. Cut from a roll end of rescued cotton drill. When they’re gone, this combination is gone for good.

Room to grow: generously cut across the chest, so it fits comfortably for longer. As your child gets taller, wear it over leggings. My own daughters wore theirs for between two and three years.

Sizes left: 3 years, 6 years, 7 years, 8 years

Care: Machine wash inside out at 40°C with similar colours. Iron on a medium to hot setting, and never directly on the front of the embroidery (iron on the reverse instead).
