Hannah Pinafore Dress: two-tone plum and pink denim with toadstool appliqué

A pinafore dress for woodland walks, parties and everything in between. A two-tone denim A-line dress, deep plum on the outside and pink on the inside, with a turquoise-edged appliqué toadstool topped with an embroidered pink heart. A border of pink, lilac, blue and cream flowers runs along the hem. The straps fasten over the shoulder with a single round pink button on each side. Designed, cut and sewn by me in Nottingham.

Last one. Cut from a roll end of rescued denim. Once it’s gone, this combination is gone for good.

Room to grow: generously cut across the chest, so it fits comfortably for longer. As your child gets taller, wear it over leggings. My own daughters wore theirs for between two and three years.

Size: 6 years

Care: Machine wash inside out at 40°C. Iron on a medium to hot setting, and never directly on the front of the embroidery (iron on the reverse instead).
