The Hannah Baby Dress: navy cotton drill with wildflower and ladybird embroidery

A little meadow dress for the smallest members of the family. A navy A-line dress with a border of embroidered wildflowers in pink, orange, blue and lilac, with tiny red ladybirds hiding among the stems. Inside, the contrast fabric is blue with multicoloured spots, a cheerful surprise every time it’s put on. Designed, cut and sewn by me in Nottingham.

Easy to put on: a single [navy] button fastens at the back of the neck.

Cut from a roll end of rescued [cotton drill]. When they’re gone, this combination is gone for good.

Size: 12 to 18 months. Chest measures 28cm. Length 41cm.

Care: Machine wash inside out at 40°C with similar colours. Iron on a medium to hot setting, and never directly on the front of the embroidery (iron on the reverse instead).

Arrives gift-ready in a keepsake box with tissue paper.
